Head Coach Ronnie Ghent

Coach Ronnie Ghent, born in 1980 to Ronnie and Gloria, is a multifaceted sports figure with a rich history of athletic and coaching achievements. Excelling in football, basketball, and track during high school, Ghent was later inducted into the Lakeland Hall of Fame for his outstanding achievements.
During his time at the University of Louisville, Ghent’s talent shone brightly as he achieved numerous accolades, including being named to the all-conference team four times, winning the all-conference USA championship twice, and being part of the University of Louisville All Century team.
Ghent’s professional career saw him playing for several prestigious teams, including the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, and New Orleans Saints, as well as the UFL’s New York Sentinels, Hartford Colonials, and Virginia Destroyers. In 2011, he clinched the UFL championship with the Destroyers before finishing his career in the AFL with the Orlando Predators.
Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Ghent has showcased his expertise at various levels, from high school to professional leagues. As a Special Teams Coordinator, he crafted innovative schemes and game plans, while as an Offensive Coordinator, he transformed offenses into dynamic powerhouses. Currently, as the Head Coach at We Are Spartans Academy, Ghent is utilizing his extensive playing and coaching experience to mold a championship-winning team.
Coach Ghent’s dedication to excellence and passion for the game are evident in his coaching style, making him a valuable asset to the “We Are Spartans Academy,” where he continues to inspire and mentor young athletes to reach their full potential.
