New Football Head Coach Ronnie Ghent


Ronnie Jerome Ghent, a revered figure in the football world, now leads the “We Are Spartans Academy” as Head Coach, bringing with him 15 years of coaching experience across high school, college, and professional levels. A versatile athlete in his own right, Ghent excelled as a three-sport star in high school, showcasing his talents in football, basketball, and track. His athletic prowess earned him a spot in the Lakeland High School Hall of Fame.

Ghent’s journey continued at the University of Louisville, where he left an indelible mark as a tight end, earning recognition as a member of the All-Century Team. Ghent’s collegiate career was highlighted by his unprecedented achievement as a four-time First-Team All-Conference selection, a feat that secured his place in school history.

Despite going undrafted in the 2004 NFL Draft, Ghent’s determination propelled him to professional success, playing for esteemed franchises like the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, and New Orleans Saints.

Transitioning from player to coach, Ghent’s commitment to excellence has helped numerous athletes reach collegiate and professional levels. His coaching philosophy, grounded in discipline and mentorship, has guided teams to success at every level of competition.
